Producer and CEO Leanne Tonkes is an advocate for Gender Equality championing the careers of female writers, directors and storytellers across all media.
Leanne produced Stephen Lance’s debut feature film MY MISTRESS and Steve Baker’s award winning 6-part web-series THIS IS DESMONDO RAY! She produced AACTA nominated THE SECOND, Mairi Cameron’s debut feature - the first Stan Original feature.
She is developing THE CIRCUS with Emma Freeman and and adapting THE SECRET LIVES OF DRESSES with Megan Simpson Huberman, Mairi Cameron and Stephen Lance, THE WEDDING SEASON with Menik Gooneratne and TIGRESS with Niromi de Soyza and Jane Hampson.
Leanne was a recent participant of INSIDE PICTURES, a high profile international intensive film business and leadership skills development programme for film & TV industry executives supported by Creative Europe and ScreenSkills.
Leanne is a recent Screen Australia Enterprise People recipient and a founding board member of the Melbourne Women in Film Festival.
